Peace of mind. Peace of body.

About

Born and raised in Los Angeles, graduated with degrees from UCLA and Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, Shaun Menashe, LAc, MTOM, Dipl., offers a distinct clinical approach that draws as much on his studies of various traditional philosophies as it does on his professional credentials.

Shaun has been a practicing Tibetan Buddhist for over a decade and seeks to be a conduit between traditional systems and our modern society. To this end, Shaun has completed master’s courses in the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition and has traveled extensively through India and beyond to study at the feet of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and many of the world’s foremost Buddhist teachers.

In his 10 years of clinical experience, Shaun’s techniques have continued to evolve and sharpen as he has narrowed his area of expertise. While sessions with Shaun can bring great relief to the body, his passion lies in restoring harmony to the mind.

Shaun characterizes his study of Chinese medicine as the vehicle that “gave me tools to explore the relationship between how we experience the world and the way we feel," and considers his clinical practice a daily opportunity to share what he has learned with his patients and fellow wayfarers. He draws on this diverse background each day at Golden Mean Acupuncture, polishing his character through the practice of acupuncture to evaluate and treat patients effectively.

He looks forward to helping you achieve vibrant health, balance, and peace within us all.

What is well-being?

We should go to great lengths to preserve our bodies and we should strive to feel our best! All of us have the right to survive and this means having a healthy desire for happiness and comfort. The basis of holistic medicine and the foundation of proper well-being is managing the dependent relationship between our body and mind and of all the internal and external factors that make up our experience.
